We live in Olinda, but yesterday was our first time at Flippin Pancakes. My husband had pancakes, bacon and eggs ('the Canadian') and I had eggs benedict. There was a huge group in, and the waitress was kind enough to let us know it might take longer than usual to get the food. I asked if I could substitute ham... More
We chose this place on line and had second thoughts when we arrived as it was practically empty and didn't look like the decor had been updated since the early 80's. When the food came out however my expectations were blown out of the water. Three of us had steak and it was really delicious and the helping was so... More
Arranged for a large number of people to attend a Saturday morning breakfast. Service was poor had to wait over an hour for drinks and food. Not all meals were delivered and had to chase up staff. First coffee was served with sour milk took it back same problem with the second one took it back. third coffee was ok... More
Not what is used to be! We'd been going to Flippin' Pancakes for years but it must have changed hands. Should have known something was wrong when we were the not customers at 10am on a Saturday. The service was non existent, the waiter didn't even speak! Pancakes weren't cooked through and the eggs were over cooked. There is nothing... More
Sometimes I miss living in the Dandenongs a there were so many great places to eat. Flippin' pancakes was one of them. They have a great menu range, plenty of seating but ensure you book on week-ends. Oh well.....Great memories at least!

My wife had a mushroom omelette, which was served flat rather than folded. It was thick and full of mushrooms, and nearly over lapped her plate because... More
Came here on Sunday evening with my family, very nice service by friendly waitresses, good quality foods, thanks Flipping Pancakes for the lovely time...
If it is fabulous dinning experience you want with good family time the I would say Flippin' Pancakes is among the best in the hills. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere just take hold of you, with old English style setup. The food outstanding, actually we never expected to get such a high quality steak from a restaurant... More
Stopped at this place on our way back after a day at the Dandenong Ranges. I have to say the experience was quite poor. The food was bland and oily (especially the risotto) and the service was terrible. Waited a long time for our meals and the staff was quite inattentive. Overall we are not planning to come back. The... More
