We came there rather late after a long day, coming from Laos, and rather hungry. After taking our orders, the owner (who appeared to be the chef too) explained to us that preparing the meals would take a while, because he would slice everything up freshly. It didnt too long after all, and his wife offered us some slices of... More

Not often you find great homemade bread in Thailand -- this is great bread compared to anywhere in the world. And the owners are truly wonderful. Stop by in the evening for a beer or get in for breakfast -- we did both.

Arrived by motorcycle from Chiang Sean at dark to have some very very good Mexican food, the music and atmosphere in the place are great and people are very friendly and speak very good English.

I was walking around the city looking for a restaurant and without having read the past reviews, I sat down at this restaurant. Having no expectations at all, I ordered the Enchilladas. The owners made it from fresh food they bought while I was sitting there. It tasted really good. Might say, even better than a lot of the Dutch... More

As mentioned in my earlier comments, the opening hours are a bit erratic. The lady owner has a phone which may be worth checking if coming any distance; Tel, no. : 081 672 0049 Eat there often, food always good, same speech every time by the man who is considered something of an eccentric by the locals. However he is... More

Great food with friendly chatty owners who speak English. The homemade bread is amazing and the Mexican food made with local ingredients is better than anything you'll find in Bangkok. The owners are also a good source of info. Buy a loaf of bread here to take on the boat to Luang Prabang. Stop in Chiang Khong for at least... More

We have literally just left the place and what great food. The service is laid back but the food is all cooked fresh, the salsa everything each time. The quality of ingredients is top notch as well. They also have a sandwich menu and we tasted some bread and it was better than most of the bread we have in... More

Although the opening hours seemed a bit random (which applies to Chiang Khong in general to be fair), and we felt like we were intruding in a family meal, the people running this restaurant are friendly and the food, most importantly, is really, really good. After 4 months travelling round SE Asia and endless meals out, we still haven't forgotten... More
