Consistently good food!

I've been going to Sitar Albion for almost 14 years and recently (6 March 2015) paid a visit with my wife for dinner. We were not disappointed. We ordered Chicken Tikka (entree) where the chicken was very tender and the mint sauce balancing these flavours well. Mains was Palak Paneer with rice and... read more

Set in a cosy, colourful off street area, this outdoor section of Sitar was perfect for my needs for a solo dinner. Service was friendly and helpful with my dietary requirements. I was offered a complimentary salad in lieu of roti. It was a tasty meal with a variety of small spicy bites with just the right amount of heat.... More

We recently celebrated a couple of family birthdays here (group of 10). We enjoyed the banquet which had something for everyone (you get to choose a curry each), includes starters, tandoori meats, rice and accompaniments like mango chutney, raita. We ordered garlic Naan bread too (yum). I had a prawn masala curry which was delicious. The butter chicken was a... More

Lovely restaurant, very popular, particularly for takeaway. First night we had a wonderful selection, based on our waiter's advice, second night still good, but not so spectacular - they were changing the wine list and we didn't like the second choice so much as the first one.

Sitar is a nice restaurant. The dining rooms look al little outdated, but the food definitely makes up for that! And if you, after a good dinner, can walk out the door without emptying your entire wallet, it is simply great! Recommended for those traveling on a budget!

My girlfriend and I dined at the Sitar Restaurant in Albion this evening and enjoyed every aspect of it. It appeared clean and spacious when we arrived and all of the staff were polite and friendly. The food was good, tasty, fresh and we didn't have to wait too long either. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Large restaurant with a good ambiance. Attentive staff who served us promptly. Convenient to our accommodation. Menu was very varied and we ate well. It was a good reunion dinner with cousins who were staying about a 1/4 an hour away. Couldn't eat everything and the staff insisted that we take home the Nan bread that we just couldn't fit... More

My wife and I dined at Sitar Restaurant last night (31 August 2014) and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience! The service was very attentive, the food, even though they were extremely busy with a big party was served promptly (because we knew exactly what we wanted and submitted our food order very soon after arriving) and they checked mid-meal to... We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years and after a long break we returned and were not disappointed. The food and the service are both still excellent.

I work in the area and so we go to Sitar for lunch about every second Friday. The service, drinks list and atmosphere is basic but because we go there so often they know what we want and always look after us. and being BYO means it makes it a very cheap lunch as the meals are really good value...
