Always the friendliest and good local fare. I especially love the ocean breeze that always floats thru the restaurant.

Quaint little place a few steps away from Brasilito Beach. Espresso is a great option when you need that Eye Opener. Beats Starbucks hands down! Fresh juice from the local fruits are always very refreshing. I've been here more than u can count in my hands & will continue due to the great food, drinks & super friendly staff! The... More

This lovely little gem of a restaurant has it all.... ocean view, attentive staff, and lovely food. The energy in this delicious place is beautiful and the owner, Jor'ge makes the dining experience truly delightful. We went here many times for breakfast and lunch. Next time, we will have to make time and go there for dinner too!

My family spent an amazing afternoon at Cafe El Manglar on one of our last days in Costa Rica. If only we had found it sooner! The service was attentive, but relaxed. Our food was absolutely delicious. My kids had the home made ravioli with three cheeses, both the ravioli and the sauce were fresh and delicious. I kept stealing... More

It's right across the road from the beach. A little hard to find, but another reviewer gave exact directions so it was easy to fine. I won't duplicate. Everything about this place was great. The staff, the food and it's freshness, the dog, the parakeet....

My family and I have been to This fabulous little spot twice now. On both occasions we had absolutely amazing dining experiences. The restaurant owner is personable and the service is highly attentive. But most importantly the food is off the charts good! The menu is presented to the table on a small colorful chalkboard. The selections are diverse and... More

Will definitely return to El Manglar. Went based on the reviews and so happy we did. Nothing fancy, but very relaxing atmosphere and fresh delicious food. Our group had salad w/chicken, shrimp scampi and spaghetti. Everyone was happy with their meal. Thank you

A favorite of the locals, excellent service and Tico dishes as well as the standards. Beware your fingers and don't tease the parrot! Fun and worth our second visit.

reasonable prices, generous quantities of well prepared Tico dishes. Very casual (sand floors) with good service (Costa Rican standards) and a very enjoyable find. We loved the food and the library they have is handy while you are waiting for your entrees.

Do not visit this area without having at least one yummy meal at Cafe El Manglar. We found this gem of a restaurant on trip advisor and I am pleased to report the same fantastic experience that others have written. Jorge is a delight, so friendly, welcoming and entertaining with his funny stories. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic.... More
