What happened to Michael Osborne? Where is your restaurant? We were looking forward to having lunch and shooting the breeze once again.

One of our group had gone fishing and caught a mahi mahi. This restaurant prepared it for us. It was so nicely presented in many ways - as ceviche, fish taco, cajun, with wine and tomato, and seasoned with garlic. Very well done.

Have had drinks at the Snapper and it was known as a tourist joint . Locals rarely ate there but would go for music and drinks . Sorry to see it has closed . I believe the property owner did not renew restaurant lease.

We came across The Happy Snapper in our recent trip to Costa Rica and had such a great time there. Gus was such a gracious host. He recommended a dish that we all really enjoyed, and served the coldest beer in a 20 mile radius. He was even kind enough to pick us up on the last night of our... More

Well, they do seafood rather well, but are SO overpriced and there were so many mosquitoes I couldn't even think through the swarm! Not the same as just being outdoors, there must have been standing water. Also, the kitchen wasn't so clean...

We were told to go there from by brother who lives in Costa Rica and the food was amazing, The whole Snapper was great and the Avocado stuffed Shrimp was excellent and great service to go with it.

This is a great choice especially if you want to get out of your resort. Good food at good prices in an open air setting.

We stopped several times over the course of a week and would have the ceviche (delicious), other assorted appetizers, and cocktails at the bar with Jose the bartender who delivered great service! He spoke great English for our broken Spanglish! Easy going stop, with great service.

Pleasant atmosphere and pleasant staff with good service but the bottom line is the food was totally hit and miss. 3 of us ordered dinner, mixed seafood plate was very good, sea bass was ok, whole snapper was ok. Desserts were actually very, very good. I don't regret going but I would not return.
