Is there anything better than swimming in the warm waters of the ocean the walking up to a place on the beach to have a bowl of ceviche and a beer overlooking the waves? Fish so fresh we could taste the sea. No shirt, no shoes, no problem. Loved it!

The former waiter, Kevin, as others have mentioned was a friendly, but shady host. The prices were high and he always seemed to round things up quite a bit higher, as well as trying to sell you a fishing trip on his boat. Thankfully he is now gone and the owner, who is the marvelous cook, now has her brother... More

Superb location smack on the beach. Food was fresh and friendly service. Fun to watch locals play a pick up game of soccer too! Order the whole snapper if it's the special.

we were walking the beach and could not resist the beachside tables. Roger was very friendly and prompt with our beers and 2 appetizers. Nothing fancy, the beers were cold, the view excellent. Price was high resort pricing, not casual beach bar price. And he did make it clear the bill didn't include the tip. Bathroom was fine for a... More

We were walking by and this place had tables right on the beach, so decided to stop, and did so prior to reading reviews, which had I read them first, I would not have gone, but we did not have a bad experience as some, but was definitely not top notch either. Our servers were very attentive and we both... More

Traveled down to Brasilito one day from our resort in Playa Flamingo to do some souvenir shopping. Decided to stop here afterwards to take a break & get something to drink. I can't really complete a detailed review of the food because we weren't really hungry at the time but decided to order & share an order of nachos with... More

The Lonely Planet review was good, but our experience was not. The place is a typical beach side restaurant straddling the Brasilito beach road. The food was ok and the service was fast. Minutes into the meal I became suspicious of Kevin's motives. The bill was higher than my own tally and he was one of the rare waiters in... More

My husband and I read the reviews in Lonely Planet and figured, Why not? We took the short drive from Tamarindo to Brasilito, and after a day at the beach, decided to stop. Kevin, the "happy and smiling" man greeted us, thrusting menus in our faces through our car window. Since we made the visit to check this place out,... More

We traveled for 48 days all around CR, we lived in Brasillto for the longest period of time. We made our way to all other Trip Advisor "must stops to eat" and finally we decided to eat with the happy man that is alway waving and smiling out in front of his small Soda. We meet Kevin, the smiling man.... More

avoid. do not be fooled by the affable Kevin. my wife and i had just arrived to charming brasilito beach..lonely planet review praised this place and being tired and a bit jet-legged, we thought "how great, right next door, we'll go here"........right on the beach..great location..a little "grilled mix fish"...turns out to be...just awful...lucky not to get sick, tasted like...
