If you're in Brasilito, you should stay at the Conchal Hotel and dine in their in-house restaurant, Papaya. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the central building, and is an open and airy spot, providing just the right ambience. The hotel and restaurant are decorated sublimely by the local flora, and lit in intoxicating romantic reds. The... More

In May 2014 I won a cooking lesson, 4 course dinner and wine at Papaya -- the Papaya was hosting a fundraiser to send local children to a Science Camp, AND celebrating their own re-opening a year after a devastating fire -- I was not able to collect the prize until November 2014. Had I known, I may have delayed... More

We stayed at the motel and ate breakfast there every morning. We also frequently ate dinner there, not just because it was more convenient, but because of the fantastic food and relaxing atmosphere.

The open-air restaurant above rooms and the pool at the Conchal Hotel operated by Hilda and Simon provides fresh, delicious dishes, beautifully presented. We dined here for two dinners, two breakfasts, and a lunch and recommended this to our friends who enjoyed it twice for breakfast and lunch. Everyone raved about the guacamole and the lobster/mango appetizer which offered two... More

I went there to have some good fresh seafood and I got it but the price was ridiculous. It's not as if they have to import the fish yet I paid over $32.00 for their cheapest fish dish and a glass of white wine. I would not go back.

A lovely meal for two at a very reasonable price. Filet mignon cooked to perfection, roasted veggies tasty and fresh. Highly recommended. Whole bill $50! Felt like an expensive night without the high bill!

Enjoyed several meals -- and pleasant conversations with the owners -- at Papaya, during my stay at Conchal Hotel in May. Completely out of character for me: once I ate here, I just didn't want to go anywhere else. Meals were all outstanding, carefully prepared with the freshest ingredients. I think beef comes from Nicaragua and seafood is locally sourced... More
