Having read the previous comment about the Fish and Chips I am shocked. I eat all over Cornwall and regularly choose the fish options as I love seafood. The fish and chips at the Waterfront Inn is absolutely gorgeous. I have never had a bad meal at the Inn. I have tried the gammon and egg and I have had... More

Prefer bar food that might have gone through a blender rather than the bar food smasked on a plate at the waterfront inn. Disgrace

It is rare that the wife gets to go to the seaside, so when she does go it is quite right that she gets to eat something out of the sea and preferably sit somewhere with a view of the sea. This place at least had the latter, which is why it got an extra point. The food was awful.... More

We probably made a wrong choice visiting this Inn for lunch. Once inside the place was a little jaded and not very welcoming. The table was a little sticky and my crab was obviously straight from the fridge -very very cold and so somewhat tasteless. Very very quiet. The toilets could be improved upon and the names in Cornish do... More

Thank you for your review we are sorry you did not enjoy your visit. The toilets were completely refitted only two months ago this included new tiles, new sinks new vanity units and new urinals, Your Crab meat did come straight from the fridge as to store fresh crab meat any where but in a fridge would probable make you... Three of us went to the beach at Portreath which is a beautiful place, the Waterfront is just across from the beach and we found it pretty much by accident, there were very few customers but it was a nice environment to spend an afternoon. The place is a bit dated but it was clean and so were the glasses... More

We went for my birthday treat in the middle of August expecting everywhere to be choc-a-bloc at this time of year. The website, recent reviews, and location seemed all favourable in our choice. The reception was slightly fraught, around the celebrated and well documented car parking issue, with the friendly greeting from (who I understood to be) the landlord, which... More

Good food, wonderful steak and ale pie, great to see all the pictures on the wall that tell the history of Portreath. Bit pricey for pub grub.
