The Waterfront Lunch

Have been to this Pub on several occasions over the past years and always had very good meals and good service ! With new owners it must be said the standards have been well upheld and if anything improved upon. My wife ,sister and I all agree the food was home cooked , plentiful and enjoyable, not... read more

We went to have the sunday roast and it was spot on, they had a nice vegetarian option which was a brie and cranberry wellington, I dont usualy have pastry so it was a lovely treat, they even made me veggie gravy without me asking. I asked if my 75 year old nan could have a smaller plate, and that... More

We happened upon this pub last week while looking for a dog-friendly place to eat after a day out on the coast. We struck lucky! The staff were so friendly, as were the locals in the bar. Service was good, food was excellent - we had rump steak with all the trimmings and a crab salad. Generous portions, extremely reasonable... More

Mid week we decided to pop out for an evening pub meal so stopped here. We ordered a basket meal burger and chips - or so we thought, for £5.50 Our meal came out on a plate, not a little basket. Proper size portion! Normally you'd pay about £8 for that, which makes a difference when you have a large... More

This is a friendly pub in the centre of Portreath. The food was home cooked and delicious. The pub itself is situated on the waterfront by the harbour but unfortunately the the harbour is not as scenic as it sounds. It smells at low tide and the area is shabby and grubby. The pub is well kept though but its... More

Myself and my wife and children came here for food and have to say, it was very good, portion sizes were brilliant and very filling at a very affordable price (4 meals, 4 drinks, just over £30). If you are in Portreath, please do visit this pub

We had a smashing carvery on one Sunday visit and steak and chips on another. Both meals were very good value for maney and well cooked. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Fromthe outside it does look like it needs a little tlc but inside was comfortable and clean. Photos and info around the walls relating to the previous use of... More

Once again we have visited the Waterfront Inn on our yearly pilgrimage, this time under new management, we can honestly say that this has been the best meal we have ever had here. All 4 of our different meals were cooked to perfection, and the puddings were good as well.

I enjoyed a fresh and tasty crab salad with not even the hint of a shell. That's quality! My wife's seabass was also excellent but the two (vegetarian dishes) pasta with butternut squash were a little dry. The four meals ordered for adults arrived before those for children aged 3, 5 & 8 which is unusual to say the least.... More
