Hubby, 24 year old son and myself went here for carvery lunch today. Only 2 meats for choice on the carvery, neither of which I liked so I didn't have any meat only vegetables. My meal was the same as if I had meat. Everywhere else I have gone the vegetables only choice was at least 1 pound less. Not... More

After monitering this pub for the last 9 months i have noticed that some of the reviews appear to good to be true - it is highly unlikely that the owners have been replaced in the last few years and are still as miserable as ever. Please note if that facebook has also a collection of fake reviews for this... More

A cold blowy Friday night in February and we arrive as sun is setting at Portreath. Perched on the harbour wall is the Waterfront Inn with its small customer only car park (get a free parking pass when you arrive) Inside the bar was populated only by a few locals and the dining room empty. But that did not diminish... More

Having read the previous comment about the Fish and Chips I am shocked. I eat all over Cornwall and regularly choose the fish options as I love seafood. The fish and chips at the Waterfront Inn is absolutely gorgeous. I have never had a bad meal at the Inn. I have tried the gammon and egg and I have had... More

Prefer bar food that might have gone through a blender rather than the bar food smasked on a plate at the waterfront inn. Disgrace

It is rare that the wife gets to go to the seaside, so when she does go it is quite right that she gets to eat something out of the sea and preferably sit somewhere with a view of the sea. This place at least had the latter, which is why it got an extra point. The food was awful.... More

We probably made a wrong choice visiting this Inn for lunch. Once inside the place was a little jaded and not very welcoming. The table was a little sticky and my crab was obviously straight from the fridge -very very cold and so somewhat tasteless. Very very quiet. The toilets could be improved upon and the names in Cornish do... More

Thank you for your review we are sorry you did not enjoy your visit. The toilets were completely refitted only two months ago this included new tiles, new sinks new vanity units and new urinals, Your Crab meat did come straight from the fridge as to store fresh crab meat any where but in a fridge would probable make you...
