We had two edible appetizers..the crab salad which had a good amount of fresh crab and the split pea soup which was OK. The bread that came with it was nice. Short version..chunks of chicken with bland tomato sauce... More

This restaurant is, indeed on the waterfront, behind a high wall which completely obscures the water! The food was average and service slow.

We try and got to this pub every year we go to Cornwall, lovely atmosphere great surroundings if you park in the Car Park you need a Parking badge from the Pub, otherwise you will get a parking ticket, good menu, and a specials board, food has been excellent regardless what we have eaten.

Andrew and Lisa just taken over the pub which has an ideal location looking onto a sheltered beach enclosed by Portereath harbour. The choice of food is varied , large portions tasty and served with a smile!

We were a party of 8 walking the SWCP. We had a great meal here and the fish and chips was excellent, the host/staff and chef were great. I would recommend this place for some good beer and food.
