We have been regular visitors to this cafe since it was renovated a few yrs ago. Unfortunately our visit this week was extremely disappointing in regard to service and cleanliness. To be told no cream teas due to cafe closing this weekend and not serving any other food apart from takeaway is not very good especially as cafe has seafront... More

We decided to pop in for a pre-dinner drink after an obviously busy day because the sun had shone. They managed a gin and tonic but the barman was either very new or unaccustomed to bar work.A request for a Scotch and Dry was met with genuine wonder-pathetic.No crisps or nuts available 'but you can have a cake'. For a beach... More

Yummy, crispy batter, chunky, non-greasy chips. Some interesting art inside too. A great find in Portreath!

Didn't have food, but enjoyed a delicious cream tea. Staff we're great, especially the very friendly tall chap behind the bar!

It's such a shame when owners of an establishment in a wonderful location just don't seem to put in any effort with regards to the service and food. The cafe is shabby to say the least, service average at best and the menu small and unimaginative. The place looks like it needs a good clean and tidy up. With the... More

Drinks appeared very expensive. Large house wine & black coffee £7.95. Ladies toilets were grubby. No toilet paper & one of 2 cubicles out of order. Didn't eat any food as seemed expensive. I guess you pay for the location - by car park by Portreath beach.

We visited here at lunchtime recently and had a cream tea which was very nice.Popped back the following evening to have fish n chips and although there was a slight queue it was worth the wait.It can become very busy here as it is virtually on the front and at times there can be a lengthy wait.Nice views from the... Although the fish and chips were ok the waiting for the food and the random way it was distributed seemed very unprofessional too much of a mêlée.
