Great food at the pub!

We ate here whilst staying at the campsite (in the grounds of the pub) this weekend on two occasions. Nice atmosphere, great service and delicious pub grub. Our camping experience wasn't as enjoyable, but you have to give the pub great credit for its staff and its quality of food and beers. Would... read more

Wonderful food in a traditional, charming British setting. We enjoyed a wonderful family/team meal with great drinks (nice variety of fun Brews) at this lovely pub. Very charming decor with lovely old furnishings and fire places. An added bonus was the sweet dogs who just relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere with us.

The food here has always been consistently good therefore we took visiting friends for an evening meal. How embarrassed were we ! We booked our table for 7.30 and our mains arrived at 9.15. We had to chase them up just before 9pm and were told that they would be 3 or 4 minutes, this is really not acceptable. We... More

Lovely food, lovely gardens, lovely staff. There is a small campsite also bedrooms in the pub. I have not slept here, but would be happy to do so. Dogs allowed. Very good mix of friendly pub and fine dining.

We're taking a long weekend at The Masons, and we're very impressed indeed. This place seems to be getting everything right: the food, the drink, the service, the facilities; all of it top notch. We're staying in the new Shepherd's Hut, which is an excellent idea and really fun. A country pub with a small camp ground is a simple... More

Beautiful atmosphere, staff are so friendly & the food is very good. We had dinner during our stay at the Mason's Arms & breakfast every morning. Breakfast is hugely varied, lots of choice & all delicious!

My friend and I were staying at the cottage rental owned by the pub. We came here both nights for drinks in the outdoor smoking area which has a heat lamp - very nice place to sit and chill out. On our last day we had lunch before we left to go home. I had a bean burger and my... More

I ate here about a year ago and wasn't impressed but hoped a year on that a trip there with my family would prove my previous experience to be a one-off. Firstly, the service was slow, but they were busy. It begs the question though as to why you would accept so many bookings when you know you can't cope... More

We stayed on the pub camp site and had booked a table for four. The food and service was excellent. I also recommend The Liver and Bacon. This was washed down with several pints of bitter from their own micro brewery. Just perfect.
