What a delight!

Came for a Sunday lunch with a party of 10 plus 2 babies. I have been to the springer spaniel a few times and no matter what the occasion is they fit the bill. The Sunday menu was by far one of the best we have had in time. To start the cajun squid was absolutely amazing and the portion... read more

Welcoming staff, good service and excellent food. Two courses for £16 - well worth it. The chef did not put a foot wrong. Well cooked pork with crackling, vegetables cooked just right and a lovely gravy. Followed by delicious puddings. Will be going back!

Cozy rural pub, good parking, quiet atmosphere, good food, traditional selection of drinks, easy access, not far from launceston

We were just passing through and stopped by for a drink and a snack. Everyone was very accommodating and we couldn't of asked for better service. We had the black pudding Scotched egg and triple cooked chips, which were both divine. Dogs welcome too! Wholeheartedly recommended!

Took our relatives who were down for the weekend to Sunday lunch. The menu was small but everything was well thought out and attention to detail was very good. We were surprised at the extremely high standards of every dish, can't wait for an excuse to go back! The seafood wreck was incredible.

Food really was excellent, well prepared and superbly presented. Why not 5 stars then? Menu selection not extensive and expensive even for a "gastro" pub.

Had a superb lunch yesterday at the Springer Spaniel near Launceston. One of the best duck breasts ever followed by an amazing cheesecake. My daughter loved her vegetarian lentil dish and the profiteroles were great. The presentation was first class as were the staff.

Had lunch here last week. Very warm and a friendly atmosphere. Nice menu with plenty of choice. The very pleasant waitress was very knowledgable and explained items on the menu when we asked. My husband and I had the seafood wreck, wow! I couldnt fault it, it looked wonderful when it arrived and tasted divine. The other two people who... More
