Nice food

This is part of the Treby Arms Restaurant I believe. The food is very nice, I had possibly one of the nicest meals I have ever had when I had pigeon wellington as a starter. It would be difficult to question the quality of the food produced and the chef is obviously passionate about his craft... read more

Arrived on the off chance of having a meal without booking and although the restaurant was very busy staff tried their very best to fit us in and were very accomaccommodating. Food was fantastic, staff were fantastic and will definitely be returning again.

We visited on the spur of the moment today and what a delight it was. Although we just had simple food, (soup, cheese ploughmans, chips) it was beautifully presented - a real feast for the eyes and absolutely delicious. When was the last time you really went "mmmmmmm" when eating chips? Well you will here! We treated ourselves to pudding... More

Have been here many times and the quality of the food is without doubt superb. On this latest occasion the food was again brilliant but the service was average at best. For meals costing an average £40 per head I do not expect to have to ask for menus, ask to order food (twice) and ask for drinks. The service... More

Hello, your comments in regards to our biscuits being served in a flower pot and about the popcorn which is severed as part of a garnish has been passed forward to the kitchen. I am very sorry that on this occasion you did not feel as though our service were up to standards and that you felt that it was... More

8 years since my last visit, in which time the place has changed hands. We arrived slightly ahead of the 8.00 booking, and were offered a table in the bar whilst our table was prepared. 15 minutes passed and we hadn't been shown a menu, during which time other diners arrived, were shown to their table and ordered their food,... I last visited the Springer Spaniel in 1997 when it was a fairly tired basic pub a short distance from Launceston with little to commend it. I did not expect to visit again but was tempted to give it a go when I discovered that it was now under Anton Piotrowski's ownership, and the menu looked similar to that of... More

The food was exceptional, beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. My husband has specific dietary needs and the staff went through the menu with him in detail. This is not your run of the mill pub restaurant and the higher standard is reflected in the price. In our view however it is worth every penny.

My husband and I had a lovely quiet evening meal here. Food was great atmosphere was nice. We were a little cold and had to change tables to be next to the wood burner, but staff were happy to accommodate. Will return in the future.
