Fantastic gastro pub experience. We were a party of 6 but all our requirements were handled with ease. Very tempting menu. We all ordered different things and everyone was happy. A real evening to remember. Lovely staff too.

Never been here before staff very friendly and helpful food was very good all local produce. I've only been here once for food, having heard about the marked improvement from the previous owners. The layout has changed, it feels more inviting now, nice decor. The foods was really good, not cheap but not overly expensive & I felt I got a good meal for the money. I put 3 for atmosphere as we were in the... More

We went to the Springer Spaniel for dinner recently - a really good choice! Dining is either informal in the bar or more formally in the restaurant area. We were in the bar. The Inn has recently been taken over by new owners and is very much improved. The menu is excellent, making choosing very difficult as it all sounds... More

The Springer is what a good country pub should be. Cosy, friendly and serving good food and drink without a stuffed shirt in site. We enjoyed our dinner here - and it was good value. It's not "blow your socks off" amazing, but was very lovely nonetheless!

Everything was perfect : the food was really exceptionnal : incredibly excellent black pudding scotch egg and pork cheeks (melting in the mouth!) as starters;... More

we ate lunch here on Sat 20th Sept. I opted for the white wine battered fish and chips which came with the most delicious side of curry sauce I have ever tasted. Another of our party had the beef and guinness suet pudding and claimed it was the best he had ever had. Another of our party had the lamb... More

First time visit and a great result. The staff were very freindly. The real ales, wine and atmosphere was very good and the food superb. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the vegetables were too en-dante this was deducted from bill with apology and without hesitation and the wooden top tables were sticky. These were minor details but will... More
