Went yesterday for afternoon tea with my mum and children, it was lovely the concept is fantastic, you get loads for your money and it all tastes lovely!!! Only one bug bare calarami is such a acquired taste and texture think some other form of fish like haddock would go down better!! Xx can't wait to return!! Xx

We booked our Anniversary meal at The Fox on Saturday night and the service was excellent. We were seated on a tiny table near to the kitchen entrance at first yet when our large starter platter arrived we asked if we could move to a larger table, which was no trouble at all to the very pleasant waiting staff. The... More

Called here on the way back to our hotel after watching the Tour de France, they had really made an effort with an outside bar area to celebrate the tour, inside the pub is very trendy and quite large, would go back there again.

My friend and I went on bank holiday for a picnic bench which was lovely by the way. I just found one of the women a bit rude. She wouldn't look at you when she was speaking to you, made you feel that you were a burden and I didn't like her customer service at all. I found her a... More

After being verbally abused by the manager at The Fleece because all our party had not arrived within 10 minutes of our table booking time, we walked out and rang The Fox. They said come straight down. Six of us enjoyed a fantastic breakfast with superb service, what had been a horrible start to Father's day was rescued. Thank you... More

We booked a table here for 6 people for 5pm and arrived a good 20 minutes early however we were not shown to our table until 5.15 and only then given the menu to peruse. It was almost 5.30 when we ordered our starters and after 7 before we had finished our desert. The food was excellent and I can... More

I can't recommend this place enough.Lots to choose from on the menu, wonderful food (especially the crab linguine) my favorite!!! The staff will bend over backwards to accomodate. We often come with our baby and are happy to provide chairs, cushions and warm babys food too, nothing is too much trouble. They also allow our labrador in the bar area,... More

This was a real treat! Afternoon tea for three on a Saturday lunchtime. It is served on a mini picnic bench with hot extras separate. The sheer quantity, quality and presentation is amazing, a real wow factor and is really good fun too. Totally unique and yummy. You will not leave here empty bellied. We had to have some packed... The staff where exceptionally helpful and the general atmosphere and ambience of the venue was also good. Parking is a challenge as there is no car park but fortunately we where able to park outside. The food was good the ham hock terrine was tasty and well presented a little more piccalilli would have been nice. There was a problem... More
