We had a lovely meal for six people early on Saturday evening. The food was great - we mainly had the steak and the fish. The desserts were delicious too. We will definitely return.

After spend quite some time to find a nice place to take our family out for dinner we came across the mermaids slipper. We booked and we were pleasantly greeted by a lovely lady that owned/ran the restaurant, she was very professional and welcoming. Drinks were served to us while we sat in a very comfortable seating area while looking... More

We had the pleasure of eating here last week. Food was fantastic, hosts very friendly and great with my two Grandchildren (1 and 4). We enjoyed a very relaxing evening. You simply must visit if your in the area.

Been here a couple of times and always had a good experience. On one occasion I arrived fifteen minutes after they had completed breakfast service and the chef was on his break, but they reopened the kitchen for us and delivered an excellent hearty breakfast. Now that's what I call service.

Hubby and I popped to the Mermaid's Slipper on Saturday evening after a very busy day decorating and gardening. My parents live locally so it is an easy stroll down to the Staithe. There is a lovely ambience in this restaurant. We have eaten there in the past but this time we chose to just sit and relax in one... More

From the warm welcome, drinks while we relaxed to be seated, the lovely surroundings and table setting. The meal: Starter - just superb Main - the best food I have tasted - yes really - and the presentation was exquisite. Sweet and desert wine lovely. The bill - reflected the quality and exclusive nature - but as an intimate meal... More
