I just loved this restaurant! Had an evening meal here with family and it was outstanding. There is a real old world charm to the restaurant and the quality of the food was superb. Seasonal sides and wonderful fresh fish all cooked to perfection. Two of us went for the prix fixe option (excellent value) and others went a la... More

I have read the reviews and think we must have been in a totally different place today!!! Did not feel overly welcome...I would not call the service old school charm..rather bizzare in fact. My husband ordered the chicken roll which consisted of a half a baguette, cut in half with butter, and some plain chopped chicken inside....dry, bland and bewildering... More

Had to leave a few lines to say how much I enjoyed my lunch here - fantastic service and food..moules frites among the best I've had. Lovely end to our west cork trip. Thanks!

This is a unique and charachterful restaurant. We recently had an evening meal here lovely food simply prepared and presented (the best way in my opinion!) The room itself is an original country town shop which has had very little done to change its appearance even though I am sure a lot of thought went into the process. The proprietor... More

We stopped here for Dinner, and while it was not cheap at all the food was amazing. We were able to sit outside and it was a really sunny day and it was fantastic. The service was also really good. I guess the only weird thing was that when we went to pay that they wanted us to pay in... More

This restaurant serves lunch in July and August. It is not to be missed if in the area. The moules frites (mussels) are the best, as are fish cakes, open prawn, and always a beautiful home made soup. Nice for a light lunch in a classic Irish setting. Dinners (fish their specialty) are always fresh and delicious too, with a... More

I ate here with family recently and it was really excellent. The service and staff were very attentive without being overbearing. The quality of food, its preparation and presentation was very good. The atmosphere is quite relaxed and comfortable and the price was quite good. All four of us were very pleased with our dishes. I'll happily recommend it and... More

We have dined many times here, mainly for dinner. It is a fantastic seafood restaurant. The fish is cooked simply but to perfection! While a seafood restaurant, the beef is also wonderful. O'Callaghan Walshe is my favourite restaurant and my preferred place to dine with friends. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, great service and an excellent menu selection. More... More

Fab fresh wild Hake and tasty "West Cork" Rib eye with freshly made fish cake for starter. Really good sauces - not overpowering. We were really blown away by the quality of the food and the service. Highly Recommended. Under €70 including 3 glasses of excellent house wines.
