This was undoubtedly one of the best meals of our trip. I am still regretting that I didn't order the dish that my husband did (bolognese) and I can't wait to go back one day so that I can order it. I still daydream about that dish.

Have been eating at Nilo's excellent restaurant for some time now and each time it is a pleasure. The restaurant's low key elegance is always appealing but the real draw is the excellent food and the warm welcome that never fails to deliver, time and time again. I was last here with my daughter for dinner. It was the first... More

Spent a morning learning so much from the lovely cooks! We made everything for the restaurant's dinner. We laughed and learned lots! Then we had a wonderful meal to sample our cooking! An experience I shall never forget!

This was our worst dining experience in Italy and among the worst of any dining experiences in memory. We made reservations based on positive comments by other reviewers. When we arrived staff were hanging out and chatting at the front door. We were told to take any table that we wanted and then the host made somewhat of a production... More

This is the kind of food and service I would expect from an Italian restaurant in Tuscany. My friends took me there and it was clear that this was a great place from the beginning. No frills. I saw a big russian family tasting wine and local food (and taking notes) and a small italian family on the other side... More

We went here on two occasions and loved it. Great atmosphere (around the front), amazingly good gelato and lovely main meals. The service was second to none as they knew we would have to wait a little while before our main meal came out as they were very busy however they brought complimentary bruschetta which was 'bellissimo'!

Matriciana-style, standard restaurant cooking. Usually over-salted. Chicken somehow always tastes as if it had been kept in the hot plate for a couple of days.

Spending a week in Cetona recently we kept going back to Nilo's, unable to resist trying everything on the menu we'd wanted to order the time before, and nothing disappointed (the beef carpaccio was particularly good and made the cut twice)! The staff were also very friendly and helpful, making some great wine recommendations to suit the meal.

Visited same restaurant both for lunch as diner, both were oustanding, typical local cuisine at its best, also the wines were superb at reasonable price
