Stopped in here after an afternoon of visiting the rain forest. What a find. Place is located along a nice river so has some great scenery for your dinning experience. My kids played down by river as the adults had drinks. Ordered 5 different dishes and all were outstanding with huge portions. Service was great. Highly recommend

I've been here 3 times. I come with a group of nine people, five are kids. The kids love the small shallow stream running behind the restaurant. The adults love the atmosphere, the food, and the staff. Go here! Everything is great.

What can I say. This just a great place you can go relax and have a great dinner after a day in the rain forest. Locate at the entrance to el yunque, Barbakoa restaurant has very friendly services. Food was great and very affordable for the budget weary travelers. To top it off you have the great scenery and gentle... More

This is at the base of El Yunque Rain Forest. Get the GPS coordinates off of their website, as Google maps has it in the wrong location. The menu is very limited and virtually all meats. There is one vegetarian option, which we didn't try. I had the special of the day, grilled shrimp and chicken. It was well prepared... More

One of the best meals we have had during our stay in Puerto Rico. The sangria was tasty and the dinner was beyond delicious. This restraunt is a must try.

I am in the hospitality industry for the last 15 years and do a lot of traveling for work as well. I have never been to a establishment like this before. Location is very unique and blends in well with the surrounding (at the base of the rain forest). Service was perfect. I met the owners Janet and Mark and... More

We enjoyed a very tasty lunch in a great outdoor setting on the river. Lunch specials were $10 to $12. We enjoyed the pig wings and cornish hen. The vegetarian option was also good. Service was friendly. The first time we visited they were closed, so check before you go. (I think they are closed on Tues. and Wed.)

We read the reviews and decided to look for it. Google maps puts it in the wrong place. We found it based upon it being near the rainforest. The service was good and very friendly. The sangrias were very good. The lunch specials were inexpensive compared to what we paid elsewhere and the portions were more than adequate. The outdoor... More

Our family (13 of us) had a lovely experience at this restaurant. It was a slow Thursday night so we got a lot of attention. The rustic setting was a great way to start our PR vacation. The staff is the stand-out at this restaurant. Very knowledge about their menu and willing to spend time to make sure that we... More
