The food was excellent, our server Eric was knowledgable and did a great job. The ambiance was amazing, we ate on a small table next to a stream while it showered on and off. It was awesome. Probably more than I wanted to pay but most P.R. seems to overcharge for food.

We stopped by in our way down from climbing El Yunque. The place is big and the river runs on the back of the property so you have a nice experience sitting in open air and close to nature. What is not so nice are the prices. Food is average by Puerto Rican's standards and their house drink (a green... More

This was a fun place to stop & have dinner on our way out of the rainforest. It's not fancy- open air, mostly outdoor seating with tiki torches by the river and a fun bar area with dance music. The restroom is very modern & clean, especially since the atmosphere is so casual. The staff is very welcoming & friendly... More

The seating is all outside (some covered areas) at the bottom of the Rain Forest and beside a shallow tributary of the Rio Grande. My kids (ages 5 & 7) played with the owners grandson (age 9) in the shallow tributary while waiting for our meal. We were treated and greeted very kindly and the scenary was beautiful. The food... We stopped here before our zipline tour in El Yunque for lunch and I'm sure glad we did. The food was some of the best I had in Puerto Rico. Good portion sizes and amazing flavor. I had the turkey with sausage rice, the meat was very tender and the sauce was delicious. We also tried their house drink, I... More

Let me start that if you are visiting El Yunque or JungleQui I say stop here for food first. Outside seating with adequate shade and the river behind you is such an experience. The server was great despite our translation issues but she was patient with us. As with every place in PR I say the wait is about the... More

Stopped after El Yunque for lunch. Entrees were pricey but HUGE. Mango frappe was thick with fruit and enough for a meal. We split chicken dinner and took the 2 lb thick turkey breast home for a full dinner. Beautiful setting alongside running clear stream.

After being at the rainforest my friends and I were starving so on the way down we decided to stop at Barbakoa. The welcoming was good. There was 11 of us. The waitress was a mess. She was all confused with the plates. She didn't have a good attitude about us being there. Told us we needed to vary our... More
