Based on the reviews, this was the only restaurant I really wanted to go to and it did not disappoint!! We popped in after our trek to La Mina Falls in El Junque Rainforest. It's right on 191. You can't miss it. We too got the cornish hen, which was fall off the bone delicious. We fought over the side... More

This is an outdoor eatery along a small river streaming out of the rain forest. It is on the main road at the base of the rain forest. Picnic tables and thatched roofs and umbrellas create an expectation of simple food. I had a delicious rock Cornish hen finished with a delicious white sauce with dill. It was meaty, moist... More

If you want to experience local flavors in nature, at the foot of the PR Rain Forest, also called El Yunque, this is the place! Wow the flavors! not only in the music playing, but in our mouths. The ribs in the tamarind bbq sauce...the meat so tender and flavorful. Two of the guest ordered the Churrasco and we requested... More

Great food after a day spent at El Yunque. Location is fabulous on the river, fun vibe with live music. Hearty meal of local flavors for kids and adults - mufonguitos, surf and turf (mahi mahi), pork loin and skirt steak were all delicious. Was skeptical that this would be a "tourist trap" given its proximity to El Yunque, but... More

If you want authentic Puerto Rican food and a lovely setting, try Barbakoa in the El Junque Rainforest. It is close to the entrance with ample parking and great for before or after your visit. Their hours are 12- 8 and they have both a lunch and dinner menu. Excellent ribs, seafood, chicken and beef. Delicious rice and mofungoitos (small... More

First off, the lady waiting on us was probably one of the owner and she was super. She advised us individually on what to eat and she was right on. The rum and coke drinks didnt hurt either. We ate outside where there was a cool breeze blowing and a stream next to us where the kids played in it.... More

Had a very nice lunch here after visiting the rain forest. Nice and casual. Food was very good. An added bonus was the live music which they have on Friday and Saturdays.
