Great place to eat near El Yunque!

This is a great place to eat on your way to/from El Yunque rainforest. The setting here was beautiful, the food was great and the people were really friendly and genuine!

We found this place by accident on our first evening adventure into the rain forest and we LOVED it. The food was so great and the atmosphere was awesome! We had dinner at dusk with the sounds of the rain forest all around us. My husband ordered the trio meal and all of the food was just amazing. They were... More

Like so many folks, we stopped here for a late lunch after visiting El Yunque and based upon prior Trip Advisor reviews. We were certainly not disappointed. Service was great. We were a group of 5 and a bit tight on the picnic tables. The staff immediately (without being asked) brought out another chair which was very thoughtful. We started... More

Nice setting and service, but I was out for takeout vegetarian. Had a couple of veg and cassava dishes. The sweet potato fries are great, and barbecue sauce is out of this world! Ask for it as a dipping sauce with everything you get!

Enjoyed the experience as much as the food, and the food was great. The riverside setting was a pleasant respite from hiking. Servers welcomed us graciously and helped us understand the extensive menu

The yuca appetizer was delicious, as well as the freshly caught yellow tail tempura with tartar sauce.... Asesomeness...My hubby ordered the ribs and Barbakoa's criollo rice with sausage. If visiting El Yunque pay a visit to Barbakoa.

Stopped by for lunch. The server offered us a three meat plate with Churrasco, gallina and ribs and let me say it was delicious. Also ordered plastelillos made with beef and mashed banana. Blew our minds. Never had before but now Love Puerto Rican food.

Great food and drinks, loved it that the chef came out and talked to us. Huge portions. Had steak skirt, ribs, and house sangria.

Nice cozy little place, with a wonderful view of the river! All dishes ordered at the table were just perfect, could not have gone better. I only have two things too warn you about: Outdoor eating only, so expect a couple of fly's around and no coffee; but besides that, definitely recommended.
