Food was average, crab tacos not good, hamburger was good, shrimp tacos okay. The rice with beans was good!

Stopped on way back from El Yunque. Glad we did. Had plantain with beef inside, wow. Also chicken taco and yellow rice and beans very good and low prices. In my opinion was best meal on Island. The house pique sauce was the best!

Don't be afraid: if our guide hadn't enthusiastically eaten here, I never would have, but the food is authentic Puerto Rican, quick and at a great price. You can see what you're going to order and point to it, so don't worry about a language barrier. You order at a window, then they heat or fry your food. Be warned... More

The food at this roadside stand is good, authentic, inexpensive and quick. The location is what makes it popular. The restaurant is right on the road that leads to El Yunque National Forest.

besides the appearance, the place is a good stop to grab something to eat after visiting el Yunque (is on the road back to rio grande). We ate the chicken skewers and they were really good. If you are not to hungry, 1 skewer will be more than enough.

The food was fine, but the chicken that we had (based on the Fodor's write up of the fried chicken with rice and beans) was dried out and just so so. The wonderful staff though was incredibly warm and welcoming and we went back there during our second trip to the rainforest and had the shish kabob which was fine.... More

Pinchos(shish kabob) were excellent. We shared a pork and chicken pincho, and rice and beans. The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful. Rice and beans were great. We also had some homemade coconut "beverage" that the owner provided samples of. Very good stuff. It was a great way to end our day in the rain forest.

This place is in the side of the road in the El Yunque Rainforest. It does not look like much from the road and is not fancy at all. Some would call it dumpy looking I suppose. But it was clean. Most of the workers there speak little or no English, so our guide had to order for us and... More

Some of the best pinchos that we tried, and their fried stuff is PERFECT! Do yourself a favor and stop at La Muralla for some super authentic Puerto Rican snacks.

My family and I, with kids as young as 3, enjoyed a nice lunch at La Muralla, after the hike to La Mina falls. Food was fresh and fast. The options were excellent. Their fried offerings-fritters, empanada, etc. were fun to try and their rice and beans were terrific. It was cheap to boot and very busy.
