Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Reservations, Late Night
Description: Authentic Puerto Rican & Cuban Food. Many people write about it in their reviews of the Rio Mar in Rio Grande, PR. I would love to write a review about this place as it was the best Mofungo (fried mashed plantains) we had in PR (and we tried it in 4 restaurants).

Our friends go there frequently and said it was an off night, but waiting for over an hour with 3 hungry teenagers did not make... More

I had been twice on this restaurant because has the name of my father (Don Pepe's are for Don Jose) and I loved the decoration, nice paints and a very cozy place. It's ideal for ask a nice seafood and a good bottle of wine. But the place decoration, atmosphere and intentions go by one way and the service and... More

We traveled here while on vacation and picked this establishment based on the reviews we read. The atmosphere was fun, but 3 out of 4 meals were wayyyy over cooked. I ordered a pork chop, not realizing it would be paper thin and deep fried....it was so dry i think i have had shoe leather that was more moist. My... More

We happen to see this restaurant after 4 days of staying at Wyndham. It is at the bottom of the hill leaving the Wyndham, heading west (oeste). The place doesn't have great signage. We went around 3 pm on a Friday and it was not busy. It's not a very large place and the food was decent. My husband had... More

I was a little unsure what it was. I didn't see the sign. I just kind of wandered over there. I came in suspecting it was a restaurant. Turns out I was right. The woman didn't speak English so she had a woman tell me in English what they had. I went for the plantains and beef. It was very... More

We stopped in here with a group of six on a weekday for lunch after trekking through El Yunque and everyone loved their food- my husband said he could eat Don Pepe's for every meal of the trip. Our service was good and the environment was very pleasant. The portions were all extremely generous and enough to share- the quesadillas... More

We visited here after reading a couple of decent reviews. Would never return. Our server only came to the table 4 times the whole time we were there. Then when our food was being delivered only 2 of us got our food. The others never got their food the whole time we were there. The bill after the 2 meals... More

I had a delicious cream soup with shrimp. The mojitos are the best in town. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. The food is very reasonably priced and excellent place to have dinner. They have a really good wine selection.
