Description: Authentic Puerto Rican & Cuban Food. Many people write about it in their reviews of the Rio Mar in Rio Grande, PR. I would love to write a review about this place as it was the best Mofungo (fried mashed plantains) we had in PR (and we tried it in 4 restaurants).

Don Pepe is a small restaurant close the main road, the food is just spectacular. I grabbed my self some Paella and a nice sangría... The flavor was just incredible and they have live music some days a week.

The food is excellent, but the service is very slow. We had to call for service at all time during our dinner. A lot of waiters but no one came to our table. Tip was included at 15%, but we only paid 10%.- consider it an on the job training tip. Service definitely needs to be improved.

We were searching for a good restaurant near our rental condo in Rio Mar, and read some good reviews for Don Pepe in Rio Grande. We were looking for a restaurant with indoor seating, since many of the restaurants in that area are outdoor. I'm glad that we chose to give Don Pepe a try! From the outside, it doesn't... More

We ate here with a large group and the food was delicious. Authentic Puerto Rican food that was all delicious especially the paella (rice dishes). But the selling point for me was the piña colada...they were the best of all the ones we had during our weeklong visit to the island. This is right down the road from all the... More

This restaurant was a nice local spot. The food is simply delicious! Our waiter Teddy was the best. Ate here two nights during my stay in the area. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back when I'm here again. Great Puerto Rican food!

We had dinner at Don Pepes and it was excellent!! This restaurant is very casual and the food is very puertorrican, down to the chuletas can-can (giant pork chops) and the mofongo... will be going again very soon I hope!!!

The place is small with puertorrican culture decoration, cozy and familiar ambient. Service is fast and waiters are friendly. Food quality is good and excellent flavor.

Don Pepe in Rio Grande is a great restaurant to experience true local Puerto Rican cuisine. The service is excellent and the food speaks for itself. Their mofongos, churrasco (steak), and rice dishes are out of this world. Every time I have a friend or family member visit me, I take them there and each time they impress. Make sure... More

We went there for dinner. Nice atmosphere with live music (only on weekends). There were 8 in our table. Service was excellent. Food was great (We had Mofongo with conch and octopus, rice with crabs and tostones, churrasco, Caldo Don Pepe, conch salad). Portions are big, so if you are not very hungry, you can share on most cases. The... More
