We needed a venue to hold 60 people for my little boy's christening party and, after emailing about 20 places, The Angel was one of three to get back to me. They were able to offer a cordoned off area and reasonably priced buffet. The play area was also a bonus for the older children. On the day, the staff... More

We visited the angel Inn on Friday evening 22nd August with friends from Jersey. We were most disappointed with the meal we received. We had steak and ale pies which appeared to our eyes to be catering pies bought in .Also one person in our group had a lasagne which was very dry and had very little taste We did... More

We really like the Angel. The food is good, and if the weathers on our side the kids can play outside. The only negative is the menu is expensive - please please have a look at doing a set price lunch menu- I guarantee you'd get more people through the door!

My husband and I know and like Hall & Woodhouse pubs, so we thought we'd try The Angel Inn at Longham for lunch. It was a weekday lunchtime so decided it probably wasn't necessary to book and when we got there it was fairly quiet, with no more than a third tables taken. We went straight to the bar to... More

Went to The Angel Inn at Longham, Ferndown, for a celebration birthday meal. We were a party of 10, and we pre-booked for 7 pm, on the advice of the management. Ordered drinks...... took ages to arrive. Ordered meals.....these too took ages to arrive. Ordered desserts.....these took ages to arrive, and on top of this 3 of the desserts we... More

Come to the Angel fairly regularly and the food and atmosphere are always good. Good range of real ales and Westons cider (Stowford Press and Mortimers) not sure of the wine list. Reasonable prices and ample parking, you do normally need to book but you can book online. Service was a little hit and miss when we were there midweek... More

Every Sunday I take mother out for lunch this time we went for the Angel, I have never been here before but Mum seems to remember having been here years ago anyway to lunch, When we arrived at about 5 past 12 doors were still locked so from the disabled parking we had a very long walk round to the... My family and I have used the Angel many times over the last few years and sadly it seems to get worse every time we visit. Our last experience will be just that, our last. We ordered 3 meals. The beef pie was fine. My meal, a steak marinated in something although tasty and cooked ok, was possibly the fattest... More

We chose this pub because it was dog friendly and we had our pooch with us. Lovely pub, staff very welcoming. Huge bowl of water brought out for the dog when our drinks came - even had ice cubes for her. Bread sharing platter very tasty. I had sticky chicken salad which I enjoyed. My husband had Cornish pasty which... More

Service was good. Bit pricey for what we had. Children's meals good. Garden lovely. Whole place spotless.
