A slight let down from previous visits, no longer the best in Scoglitti but still excellent seafood.... And the pasta is divine (spaghetti vongole bottarga and grana padano..... Wow!)

We drove all the way from Catania to Scoglitti, since we were suggested this restaurant with a certain emphasis. The funniest thing we didn't do was that we did not book on a Sunday lunch. When we arrived it was already 2.15 pm. The restaurant was full. A waiter whom we later learned was the daughter of the owner did... More

If you want fresh, this is the place to go. Menu is based on daily catch and like many reviewers have said, you eat whatever is given to you until you decide to stop! You definitely do not go home hungry but with a happy belly and a smile on your face!

You must stop here for dinner if you're in the area. We had the menu with many antipastas, crudo and cotto... A primo... Everything was great... In six we paid 300,euro.

From other reviews it was clear that this would be special. It was. Once someone, the owner we think, talked us through the unwritten menu in English we realised that the full, quite expensive, menu would be just too much food. So we opted for the raw fish antipasto which was delicious, a primo piatto of melt-in-the-mouth seared tuna followed... More

The concept is quite simple - you eat whatever is given to you and you decide when to stop or move on. First go raw starters, then a variety of warm starters, then, if you are still up to it, pasta. And then, I suppose, the main course, but as we were unable to move, we only asked for a... More

Two friends dined together with myself and my husband at Il Sakalleo at the end of April. We did not have a booking but were able to get a table anyway. We were not quite sure what to expect and were only offered the set ‘tasting menu’. There was no written menu and the only questions we were asked was... More

Super lunch. We went for a late lunch and it was great. The dishes keep coming and coming so go very hungry. The service is excellent the fish fest delicious and the price very very reasonable. This was our second visit and hopefully we will be back soon.

We went to this restaurant because we had received positive feedback and I had already been there once many years ago. Well I have to admit that we weren't disappointed by our choice. The food is very nice. The formula they propose is basically no " menu a la carte" : the dinner starts with a selection of cold and... More
