Port Vila
In this nation of tiny islands and indigenous villages, Port Vila is the exception: a bustling port town with hotels, restaurants and markets to delight visitors and cruise ship passengers. The 150-foot-high Mele Cascades waterfall is the ideal place to refresh yourself in the South Pacific heat. For a glimpse of real Vanuatu culture and traditions, travelers say a trip to Ekasup Village is a must.

Tour THE SUMMIT GARDENS, visit The Essential Oils Distillery, Cafe and Health & Body Shop and more. THE SUMMIT GARDENS have been developed to provide maximum pleasure to the visitor. Opened to the public in November 2011, the 11 named gardens, spread over 6 hectares, are all distinctly different, unfolding as a series of surprises as you follow the meandering pathways and steps. At nearly 200m above sea level, the escarpment garden offers the visitor breathtaking views over Mele Bay. Within the gardens are THE ESSENTIAL OILS DISTILLERY - see how oils from sandalwood, Tahitian lime, mandarin, tangelo, ginger, etc, grown at The Summit are extracted and where our range of health and beauty products, soaps and candles are made. Come to THE SUMMIT HEALTH & BODY SHOP for our products MADE IN VANUATU and to THE SUMMIT CAFE for refreshments or lunch and take in more of the wonderful views. ALLOW 2-3 hours for your stay - take a guided tour and lunch or refreshments, or wander around at your leisure for the whole day if you wish. An ADMISSION FEE applies to The Summit Gardens. Your Admission ticket is then valid for up to 14 days. The Summit Gardens Tour transfers from Port Vila hotel/resort, OR take a taxi, bus or hire car. Do come visit-you won't be disappointed! ATTN: CRUISE SHIP VISITORS - The Summit Gardens are sold on P&O ships only, for all other cruise ships you can pre-book through our website, alternatively take a taxi/bus to The Summit Gardens. You will be very pleased you came to visit! less
