I would recommend this condo to anyone considering a visit to St. Maarten. The complex is conveniently located near the airport ( you get a wonderful view from the balcony of incoming planes without the noise), has several good walkable restaurants, and is near the french border.   "Maryvonne H. The hotel is located between the Dutch and French side. Short easy drive to both. Close to Porto Cupecoy and it's lovely supermaket ,shops and restaurants. also close to casinos and nightlife in Maho area. Great restaurants.Short drive as well .Beautiful Mullet Bay beach a mile down ..."the road. The hotel itself can use some improvements but the property and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and boast Jaccuzzis on the balconies. But remember, this is an island. You are not going to get the same service you get in the U.S. People work very hard for very little pay and you will get better service if you give a tip when you make a request. We spend two months a year at Sapphire and despite some of the negative reviews of the hotel, we would not stay anywhere else. We love the people there. You'd be amazed at what a little kindness and respect will do to make your stay more enjoyable. " More >

  "We arrived and were told the room was ready – check mark #1 We went up to the room and it was clean – check mark #2 Room on the 7th floor with great Ocean View above the pool – gorgeous spacious room – nice, very nice – check mark #3 Air conditioning worked, phone worked, lights worked, appliance..."s worked, the safe worked - check mark #4 We never needed to bother the front desk – the maid provided excellent – very excellent service – beach towels were ready every day – check mark #5 What a pleasure – we had a very good time coming and going from the Sapphire we had people over to enjoy the live music and food at the bar we had people up to the room for a couple of gatherings we enjoyed our stay I have stayed here before and will stay here again.........The live music every evening.... the quiet spaces.... the comfort..... the view.....all good...
