We didn't anticipate Barbados being quiet, and so traffic noise from the road didn't bother us: it's fairly subdued, and with the breeze in the trees, and the birdsong it just all mingled together. Sunsets over the sea from the balcony gave great photo opportunities. The bedrooms at the rear get the sunrise: blinds keep out the light and heat as much as you want, while allowing breezes in.   "We booked a last minute deal with Virgin. The flight was on time but we had to wait about an hour for our room. First impressions of the grounds and pool were a little disappointing and the resort seemed smaller than in the brochures, but that said, we were more than pleased with our room and soo..."n warmed to the hotel. We had booked a superior room as we had read about the noise and were very glad that we did, although the noise was only on Sunday night. Our room was large with a kingsize bed, a safe and plenty of hanging space. It was modern and seemed to have been redecorated. Air con (noisey) and a fan, but no fridge. Everything worked well in the bathroom and was cleaned to a high standard, but the bathroom decor was a little bit tired. We had a large terrace that lead directly into the main pool with room for 4 sunloungers, very handy for everything and very private.   "Absolutely an amazing resort, the food and staff were brilliant. Took our daughter Lois who was welcomed by the hotel. The ala carte menu was different everyday and was fabulous. The evening entertainment was also very good."
