Porto Rafael is a most attractive and secluded development, the villas on the hillside cleverly blending in to the the rocky vegetation, but it is close to Palau where boats can be rented for trips to the amazing beaches and emerald water around the islands. The villa is just a 5 minute walk to the small local beach and bar/restaurant. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. " More >

The beach walk is only for the fit, the path was virtually washed away in a rainstorm last week so it is a difficult decent, but this is the quick way into town where you can..." find very good restauarants. And these you will need because apart from the continental breakfast the food is appalling (for a hotel). It was fresh, but cold and flavourless. This really was the only negative if one accepts that the pool is really only a plunge pool with just a dozen sunbeds. But I think like most you use this hotel as a base for touring and there are great beaches 10 minutes away in a car. The hotel shuttle bus will take you into town where there are supermarkets that we used to 'stock up the room fridge, because the bar did not open until 5pm and then struggled with some pretty simple drink options... a friend took the blue national bus to Olbia airport for 3Euro (changi...
