This sets out to be of a 5* quality but sadly it fails for various reasons, mostly to do with attention to detail in the rooms. Two things stand out in my memory. Firstly the outrageous charge for the use of wi-fi - although having paid for it, it did work quite well - and secondly the housekeeper asking me to sign for an inventory of the removable fixtures in my room, including the cups and saucers as well as the five coat hangers! Just to rub salt into the insult, having signed for the kettle and implements there were no ingredients (tea, coffee etc) with which to make the required beverage! It was before the “season” and the gardens and public areas were not cleaned up from the winter, and the pool was empty, but the stay was nice. The in-room booklet and all signs are in Khirghiz.There might be spa services available - ask! We had our breakfasts and dinners in the hotel and they were good. It is probably one of the nicer places to stay in the area. Of special note, the local museum in town is worthwhile. " More >
