Last night we visited the other Riu hotels, Jalisco and Vallarta, we would have been disappointed if we had booked there and then saw this hotel, the difference is night and day. Taxi to the Melacon was $23.00 each way, approx 40 minute drive We spent $55 each way on taxis to go to a restaurant called Ocean Grill for lunch and then went a short walk to Le Kliff ( yes, it is spelled this way) for dessert and drinks, we sat and watched whales swimming by, the food was incredible and the views were out of this world, review them on this site.   "My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel April 30 - May 10 (10 nights). We were on the 4th floor in a junior suite with a fabulous ocean view. The hotel is spotless with beautiful decorations.We ate at the buffet restaurants and found the food to be good and had plenty of variety.. We ..."did make a reservation to the Krystal Restaurant for one night and enjoyed our meal there. I like to mention that we made the reservation on the same day with no problem. One day we walked to and from our hotel to the nice little town of Bucerias. We also took a bus to the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta - snapped many pictures of all the sculptures on the walk. I went jogging several times on the beach before sunrise (7.00 am) and felt very safe. Yes, people were putting their towels on the loungers early but we never had any problem finding a lounger at the pool or the beach at any time. I highly recommend staying at this hotel - you won't be disappointed - don't listen to all those... " More >

  "We just arrived home after a fabulous 2 week family vacation at this resort, as well as a friends wedding. For the first week there were 17 of us, and the second week 11. The hotel was clean, all the time, rooms were great, and the food was very good. No matter what your tastes are there is som..."ething you can eat. The service was beyond anything I have ever seen, and I felt pampered to the extreme. I have to give a special thanks to the staff, Marcos at the pool bar, Paula and Veronica in the purple / orange bars, At la Peninsula, Gerrardo (Jerry), Romando, and Lalo! Luis and the remainder of the Anamacion team, and from the desk Antonio, you guys and girls are awesome. I have no complaints about the resort, the food, the cleanliness, the service, or any aspect of the resort. If you are looking for a rocking nightlife, this is not the resort for you, and it is pretty quiet after the show ends and by 1:00 am it is silent.
