We stayed in Serenity Bay in an over water villa and it was great getting to ride our bikes around the island. One word of advice for women is to bring clothes you can bike in if you like to be active. If you prefer, you can get picked up by a buggy to be taken to the pool and to restaurants. I made the mistake of wearing a long skirt while biking to breakfast and ended up with a tangled skirt in my bike chain. Unusually large island for the Maldives which gives lots of room for everyone and makes you feel almost alone .Tried both Tree top villa and Beach villa . Floor plan is the same in both cases..." with lots of space , private pool .. Beach villa has advantage of direct access to the beach and a perfectly paradise like blue water . Tree top villa is on ocean side and has no access directly to water but gives view on to the open sea. My only constructive thought is that the restaurant suppers were all a little underwhelming. For example, a peace of meat in a bowl with a bit of sauce and a plain bun is not a correct Tagine.
