"I and my partner always travel to Muar for business purposes and went to all the hotels. You find all commons hotels in Muar where the rooms are small and standard shower facilities yet quite pricey. Until early last month, I found out this Elite Hotel which newly opened and we decided to 'test' it...."
Check-in was pretty smooth with pleasant yet smiling staff - Fedah. At first, I was trying to find the entrance as I see OldTown White Coffee but not the Hotel entrance. For those of your first time going there, the entrance located on the right side if you are facing in OldTown White Coffee.
Check-in done, took the card to Room 111. One thing this hotel doesn't have lift. Thus, my partner and I needs to carry luggage up the stairs. One suggestion to brighten up the stairway as it is pretty dark.
The room located at 1st floor and it's so easy to find. Not like many other hotels where you need to go around like maze or need to find arrows to the room. Elite Hotel setup very accessible... ...

"This hotel was renovated quite recently, and the service and management had revamped too, so forget about the old negative comments!
For slightly more than RM100, we got a very pleasant and spacious room, and the car park was gated and guarded. It was a good bargain, but this hotel used to be ful..."ly booked during peak seasons.
One thing worth mentioning was the water supply, the shower and all taps were served by a booster pump, when you turned on the water supply, the water flow will activate the sensor, the sensor will in return activate the booster pump, in less than 3 seconds, you will get boosted water supply.
The famous Bentayan night food centre is just behind the hotel, about 2 mins walk.

"The double room I stayed faced Jalan Sulaiman, at the 7th floor. It has views of Muar river and Straits of Malacca at the distance. Sunset can be viewed from the room. Level 7 is a purely non-smoking floor. The hotel is about 6 blocks from the express bus terminal, some 25 minute walk away. The ..."local bus terminal is 3 – 4 blocks away. It is not convenient to walk if you have heavy luggage, as there are too many steps, heavy traffic, etc to overcome. If you have only a small day pack, the walk is quite enjoyable as you pass interesting shop-houses and see how Muarians conduct business on the 1st/ground floor and live on the 2nd floor. These are real functioning ‘heritage’ buildings and not restored shop-houses converted into tourist traps.
The room is of the usual standard in terms of cleanliness, size and facilities (2 single beds, a cable TV, writing table, electric kettle, etc). The mattress is soft and springy. The pillows are soft. The attached bath/shower and toilet i...
