"We went on a 3 day stay at this hotel, the staff is really nice and they are always available. Our arrival was on Friday and they inmmediately lead us to our room. The hotel is really nice, warm, it has a lot of ornaments and figurines along the way, it has an inner patio which is also really beauti..."ful. The room in which we stayed was a king size bed (/comfy enough), a fireplace a window to the inner patio and the bathroom. There's no TV in the room, so if you're looking to stay there, rest and watch tv, better bring your own laptop and some movies along, there´s also no minifridge. It gets colder in the night, but if you ask for more blankets or fireup the fireplace there's nothing to worry about. In the morning, the breakfast is included, it is delicious, typical mexican food (tamales, chilaquiles, gorditas, quesadillas, fruit, carrot cake). It is actually a really nice place to stay, although, it's not that near from the center of Tapalpa, neither so far.
Tapalpa is a little town...

"We stayed for a weekend with our two kids. The place is beautiful, direct on a lake with a breathtaking view. 10 min away from the mountain village tapalpa. The hotel is very cozy and the people very nice and friendly. After a personal introduction to the premises we felt like home you don't wanna ..."leave. The hotel borrows you mountain bikes and Kanu. You can bike down to the lake or to the big stones. We walked with the dogs and saw so many beautiful spots. Kids went out and were looking for eggs or just visited all the animals on the rancho.
Food was great and a lot of things were homemade from organic vegetables and fruits. You even can look into the kitchen. In the village we rented also some quads and had a lot if fun. Just be careful, normally they do not have insurance.
Back to the hotel we took some massage and slept well.
We will come back.

"stayed one night and this place is great, rustic and mexican to a T. Just a few blocks from the historic center and needs some navigation to find, but worth it. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel exudes mexican charm."
