  "The hotel itself is an interesting building, with a 16th century tower house at one end. The public rooms are grand, albeit with a bit of a feel of faded splendour. We were encouraged to feel free to explore the public rooms by the friendly staff, which we did. Our room was huge, slightly dated i..."n decor, with nice old furniture. The bathroom was excellent and pretty new however. The only downside for us was the Green Lady bar. It looks like it hasn't been decorated since the 80s, and the food was pretty basic. There was a poor selection of beers, nothing local on tap which is a shame given the proximity to the Black Isle Brewery and The Cromarty Brewing Company. In our opinion it's worth it at the prices available on several booking sites, but not at the official list price. " More >

  "We stayed with Jan and Andy for two nights for a friend's wedding. They couldn't have been more friendly and accomodating. Everything we needed: shirts ironed; great breakfast; within walking distance of Tulloch Castle; and a lift back for the cars the morning after. Thanks again."

  "nice hotel, large comfortable room, lovley log fire in the lounge area and very welcoming staff. Food very very good ,lovley atmosphere .very relaxing hotel. . Location not brilliant , could probably make better use of the outside areas"
