  "I stayed in this hotel in 1968 when it was called the Alhambra Palace. I was so pleasantly surprised to see it hadn't changed all that much at all inside (change isn't always a god thing)! I loved the originality of the place. It is clean and the staff are warm & friendly . The pool area has changed..." drastically but for the better - they now have room for outside entertainment every night, which is first class! Could not believe the quality of the acts they have on there - electric atmosphere every night with many people even dancing on their balconies! The cocktails here are to die for & huge - we had cocktails in practically every bar on the strip and I can guarantee there are none better than the one's served in the Alhambra! " More >

  "We stayed three nights in the La Cigonya room. There were two of us, traveling as a couple. The room was very comfortable. The rooftop terrace was excellent. I enjoyed the quiet country side and walks in the woods. There was easy access to the beach and the village. Breakfast was great, as ..."was dinner. Ample portions, good food.   "We stayed for 10 days AI at the beginning of May 2013 The Beach Front location is fabulous but it is an easy walk to bars, clubs and restaurants - none of which we used as everything was fine at the hotel. The public areas were spotless and the staff were constantly on patrol to keep it that way. ..." Most of the staff were cheerful and helpful and, even in the evening, we didn't have to queue long at the bar - a few minutes at most. Although the room (especially the bathroom) was a bit dated, it was cleaned and the towels changed every day. Hint: ask for a pool view room, high floor as you get the best view of the beach as well. The restaurant always had something for us to eat. Be adventurous....if you want English food then go to Blackpool. There was always plenty of choice and it was replenished regularly.
