  "A little disappointed with the booking process"
  "I contacted this hotel directly rather than going through a booking agent to make sure we got the room we wanted with a balcony and a view. I was very specific and they assured me I would get a superior room with a balcony and quoted a price ' Total amount (breakfast and taxes included)' were thei..."r exact words. Two things happened that disappointed us. Firstly when we arrived we were given a small downstairs room with a little patio and a hedge obscuring the view and where told they were very busy and full. I stood my ground and waited in reception feeling uncomfortable whilst two members of staff had a discussion in Spanish (which I could not understand) After looking at the original booking email they gave us an upstairs room. Although we did get the room we wanted in the end it is a shame that our original booking was not honoured straight away instead of putting us through the embarrassment.   "We stayed here as my brother, who is well travelled, rated it as his most favourite hotel. We were not disappointed. It is in a great location with superb sea views, and literally just 2 minutes walk (albeit up some steps) from the beach and the other restaurants in Llafranc. I have never stayed in ..."such a friendly, well run, hotel. The owners/staff could not do enough for us including providing information on places to go and a map. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and service is superb. Ideally placed for the incredible 15 minute walk to the next village along the coast, Callella, and another great walk is in the opposite direction up to the lighthouse (where you can get refreshments at the adjoining hotel/restaurant). One other thing to mention is that we found the area in general to be very friendly, with people being very helpful. Do not bother considering other hotels around here just book the Casamar! " More >
