"We had two rooms for one evening as we were touring a family member from Canada. The setting was fabulous, the accommodations first rate, the meal excellent and our hosts, Phil and Hazel, were warm and wonderful to visit with. Highly recommend the table d'hote, it was a lovely experience. It is an..." memorable adventure driving through the mountain foothills, but the views were exceptional and the trip was 100% worth the care taken. We wish we had had more time.

"We recently spent a night here en route to the Alps, it exceeded our expectations.
The bedroom was very tasteful and very clean, with comfortable bed and pillows. Although the weather was freezing the room was really cosy. The hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a..." superb evening meal cooked by Hazel, very well thought out menu and Hazel and Phil ate with us which was really nice. We found it hard to wake up the next day we were so comfortable. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, we tried to stay again on our return but were unable to alter our channel tunnel booking. We will certainly be paying a return visit.

Phil and Hazel have done a lovely job restoring and modernizing the place. Our room was wonderful, really fresh and comfortable. They are finding great pieces of old furniture locally which add a lot of character. The beds are new and the bathroom was new and modern. Above all, the views of the hills and valleys from the bedroom, large guest lounge and patio were amazing. It is in a wonderful location, the only noise being the cows and their bells. Drive up the road a few miles and you cross over to the next valley which gives you spectacular views across to the alps. There is a lot of hiking ...
