  "We stayed at Amaan Beach bungalows on the first floor in a deluxe room with a lovely balcony (overlooking undoubtedly the best pool in Nungwi; and the ocean beyond). The location is spot-on and everything you need is within walking distance. As it is monsoon most of the hotels and restaurants are closed, but the weather is still fabulous most of the day with the odd rainshower which only lasts for about an hour. Sun-downers are great from any of the places along this stretch, but if you fancy a cocktail, I'd go the Mangi's which is on the beach to the south of the hotel. The only excursion we did was to go on the snorkeling trip to Mnemba Island with Divine diving. However, for those looking for a boutique hotel or a secluded place such as shown in the picture for honeymoon and romantic stays this is not quit..."e the place to go as Diamonds of the East is within the complex of Gemma Del'Este (big resort). Also, all villas are quite close to each other even if vegetation gives some privacy. We enjoyed the villa but were disappointed with the privacy and surrundings. Also villas are quite far from the beach (to share with Gemma del'Este). In short beautiful villa inside but not quite the most romantic place. " More >
