  "Our family spent 5 nights at the El Conquistador Resort, prior to a taking a cruise. The resort in itself is huge! We were in awe as we drove onto the property past their private golf course and eventually to their resort, literally perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Just beautiful! ..." We paid the extra bit to get an ocean view room, which we normally wouldn't splurge on, however the cost was quite minimal and the view was amazing! This hotel should appeal to both families and couples. We were travelling with our twin boy's who just loved the waterpark, which included several waterslides, pools, and a lazy river (which soon became their favorite). There are life guards on duty and we felt completely safe in the water and letting our children use the slides.   "Nice Property but not Typical Waldorf Astoria"
  "We stayed here last week and overall we enjoyed the property and would go back. There are mixed reviews for every hotel in PR and I was a bit nervous before we arrived but it turned out ok. The hotel public areas are 5 stars. The guest rooms are 3 stars. We stayed in the Las Olas wing on the cliff ..."and the rooms were stark with little lighting or decorations. Honestly felt like an old Holiday Inn. The room was clean but you will have an ant problem if you bring food to the room. The pool area at Las Olas was littered with the previous days towels until around 9am each morning. The exterior of the buildings had a lot of wear and mold. Any building next to the ocean requires constant cleaning and painting and they just are not dong it at the Las Olas wing. I cannot comment on the other wings of the hotel.   "Everything is here, the water park, the Palomino Island, great food, great service, big and comfortable rooms... And if you want to try something delicious for dinner you have Puerto Rican restaurants outside close to the hotel!!!! This is the place to be!"
