This was a real eye opener. So much so that we got a boat back to Gizo to buy some much needed supplies. Funny how biros, exercise books, two plastic chairs and a sheet of Masonite (to make a wall in the headmaster's office) can make such a difference.   "We have just spent 7 nights at Fatboys with some friends (4 of us) and we had a fantastic time, the owner Dan Kennedy was great and went out of his way to make sure our holiday was enjoyable, offering us the use of his boat and we did lots of Island hopping, the staff packing us picnic lunches, the ..."staff were lovely and the food was excellent, my friend and I had massages everyday from the ladies. the snorkelling and coral were amazing and loved the fact that you can swim straight off the restuarant. we never had a problem with the mozzies, and the comfortable beds had nets over them, We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit and it was cleaned everyday with flowers scattered through out. The staff were all extremely helpful and worked together very flexibly as a team to accommodate whatever we wanted to do. The manager, David Field, was clearly concerned to make sure that we had what we wanted and, with his extensive local experience, was a great source of advice as well as anecdotes. The food was excellent, notably with very fresh seafood, vegetables and fruit, well prepared and presented. The bungalow accommodation was very good too: based on local materials but with decent amenities. It was a real pleasure to sit peacefully on the verandah at night watching the moon on the lagoon.
