  "We have stayed in a ground-floor penthouse. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the penthouse is just one of the "apartments" in one bigger building, and it could be on any floor, from 1 to 5. As we've approached our unit after a quick check-in, we felt a bit of disappointment that the unit was on ..."the ground floor, but it ended up to be an additional benefit, as we didn't have to use an elevator to go out. The unit was sold as a "garden view", but we even had a partial ocean view, and the villas below us didn't present any issues, as they are in a bit of a distance, so it doesn't feel cramped. The apartment itself is simply great: huge master, tons of closet space, well stocked kitchen, lanai. We only had adults in our party, so the furniture set up was just perfect for us. The walk to the beach is actually very pleasant, you don't need to cross any streets, just like walk in a park, and it takes about 3 minutes down and 5 minutes up (with all the stairs).   "Check-in: Seamless. I was greeted by name when the taxicab pulled up at the hotel. How did they know?! With a lei around my neck, I was led to reception past Lobby Lounge with its magnetic amazing view of the sea and offered a refreshing drink, piece of cool sweet pineapple and a cool moist hand to..."wel. As I was early, room wasn’t ready, so was offered use of a private lounge with shower facilities, TV, coffee and internet instead. They’ve thought of everything! Mountainview room 704: Disheartened when informed by email that it’ll be overlooking the parking garage after reading prior negative posts and had specifically requested room away from parking garage. However, being almost on the top floor, I didn’t have any problems with exhaust fumes, minimal traffic noise with balcony door closed, and room felt very private as there's a screening hedge. Not having an ocean view didn’t bother me as you can get a great view from public spaces in hotel, and I wasn’t in my room all day. Rooms... " More >
