  "Wonderful, beautiful B&B for all diets!"
  "We should have written this review a long time ago, but things just got the way and held us from it. My wife and I were married in March, and spent our honeymoon in Asheville at Pinecrest. The B&B is absolutely beautiful. The property--from the rooms to the outdoors--is cozy, calming, and refreshing...". I can honestly say that our honeymoon would not have been as relaxing and tranquil were we to have stayed elsewhere. When we arrived, we had a bottle of champagne chilled and waiting in the beautiful Thomas Wolfe Suite. The kindness and care of the owners was contagious, immediately imbuing Pinecrest with a feeling of relaxation and revitalization. While many have written about the inn and the high, high quality of the food, I want to emphasize the accommodations for different diets. I am vegetarian and my wife is vegan, and we are both huge foodies (as are most vegetarians and vegans).   "We took a mini-vacay for our anniversary this year and chose Asheville. For a change, we opted for a cabin rental (over a B&B or hotel we typically book there) which turned out to be a great choice. The 1BR cottage we rented was spotless - even the hot tub! Even when a rental house is clean, the ..."hot tubs are almost never clean enough for me to use. The weather was cold and rainy (there was a car rescue due to flooding during our visit!) so it was wonderful to enjoy the covered hot tub and the fireplace at the cabin! I picked up some local gluten-free baked goods to enjoy at b'fast and the cabin was even stocked with gluten-free snacks - so thoughtful! The kitchen had everything you'd need to prepare any meal. The spacious bathroom had two windows and was stocked with great upscale toiletries that were also environmentally friendly!   "Asheville tends to be a pricey area for hotel rooms and this HI Express provides a little relief. The Express is packed into tight lot next to several other motels. The grounds are mostly asphalt but the building itself is nicely built. We had a comfortable king bed room with typical ammenities p..."lus a small refrigerator. A microwave would have been a nice added touch, but the room did not have one. The room had a very nice view of the western Carolina mountains which was a welcomed touch. The Express is located fairly close to downtown Asheville as well as the Biltmore Estate. The entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway was just a couple of miles down SR 191 which is outside the door of the hotel. The North Carolina Arboretum is also located at the entrance to the Parkway and well worth a visit. There were shopping areas and a number of restaurants located very close to this hotel.
