  "An Unexpected Treasure"
  "My husband & I wanted to drive to Mt. Rainier on May 17, 2013.... We left Spokane - headed to Seattle & didn't have any place in mind to stay the night. We drove the Chinook Pass - what a beautiful drive!! But...when we got closer to the entrance - we found the pass had not opened for the season ..."yet. We thought we could backtrack to Yakima & find a hotel or try one of the quaint little lodges we'd passed on the way. It was not a tough decision - although some spots looked a bit 'questionable'. We stopped at Whistlin' Jack Lodge - it was dinner time so we decided to check it out. We were oh so pleasantly suprised. What an awesome spot. We got a room in the Lodge - just a few feet away from the rushing Naches - it was georgeous!!! We left the window open all night & slept to the sound of the river....
