We enjoyed sitting on our balcony looking out at the river and the boats as well as enjoying the beautiful sunsets. We did have to go in from the balcony one evening due to a wind shift which brough the terrible smell of the pig processing plant, which is located nearby. Wi-fi is spotty but not a problem as we went there to enjoy ourselves. My only complaint is the plastic grate in the shower which really hurts your feet standing on it.   "I was in Smithfield for a wedding. Small southern town but very beautiful! The Hampton Inn was in a great location, outside of the downtown area but in the shopping area of town. Rooms were very clean and up to date. Loved how comfy the bed was and they had everything else we could need (pool, gym, ..."breakfast). Staff was very nice and extremely helpful as well. My girlfriend and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Constructive Criticism for the Hampton Inn: I whish they had actual glasses in the rooms rather than paper cups. I had to go out and buy some crappy plastic cups so we could drink wine. " More >
