Our room had its own little quarks, but it was perfect for us. Like other reviews, YES, the hill is steep and a little uneven, but the views are worth it! As long as you are prepared for it, it is no problem at all! It is an very short and easy walk to the beach. We even walked back from Great Bay (although I do NOT recommend it! It was too late for us to get a cab) I have already told many people about our stay, and a co-worker has already booked her trip for August!! I would definitely stay there again!! " More >

  "This is the second consecutive year that we've visited idyllic Jost Van Dyke--the first year was a fairly random 5-day stay (due to a Living Social promotion we bought on a whim), then we loved it so much that we came back the second year for a 10-day stay for our 10-year wedding anniversary (again ..."using an LS promotion). We stayed in the seaside cottage Tamarind at White Bay both times, and adored it. Bonnie (office manager) and Thad (onsite general mgr) have it set up really well. Their tips on flights, ferries, groceries/provisioning, dining, and day trips are all spot on (ie, perfect). The villas are lovely and completely functional--they had everything we needed and wanted for our stay. That said, this isn't 5 star accommodation, so don't expect such--but I'd easily give it 10 stars for the view and serenity.
