  "Stayed at the Melia de Mar for a long weekend and absolutely loved it! While the surrounding neighbourhood is a bit sparse, the hotel itself is lovely. On arrival to check in we were given towels and ice tea - and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. We were very early, but still allowed..." in the room which was great. Adults only also really good! Rooms are large and comfortable with all having a fantastic view of the sea and pool, amazing. The toiletries are nice, and bathroom is large with a seperate toilet (shower is a little small) The balcony was great, could only have been better if there were 2 x sunbeds instead of 1, but that is a small gripe. Small fridge/mini bar, iPod dock, TV. All good things. The spa is nice (pricey) and the food is good, but also quite expensive. The bus to Palma is 1.50 euro and taxi to airport around 30 euro. All in all, highly recommended! would definitely visit again. " More >

  "We have just come to the end of our 10 day stay at this hotel and would agree with most of the comments previously made by fellow travellers. We enjoyed the breakfast but only ate here on one evening and the food was adequate but not great value for money and therefore chose to eat out in Palma and ..."Portals Nous for the rest of our stay. Pros: pool area was good and not crowded. Access to shops, restaurants and parking were all good. Staff all very pleasant and efficient. Cons: lifeless bar area. Inadequate storage in room and badly situated above refuse collection which was noisy early each morning. Hotel's private beach didn't appear to be open and sand arrived towards the end of our stay to transform the stony area into a sandy cove. We have stayed at 3 hotels in the vicinity, namely the Portals Marine Hotel and the Son Caliu and would rate this hotel between the 2. " More >
