The Williamsport area presented a challenge and no 4 Stars. After a few rejected bids, I regrouped and discovered I could book this place at the same of less..." than a 2 1/2 star in the area! it's a lovely, historic inn furnished with period furniture and decorated extremely tasteful in elegance. The staff were friendly and I only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the restaurant as I heard it is great from several locals. it was nice sitting on the porch on my IPAD . We will be back!   "I have gone to this hotel twice within the past two years, both times coming to visit a friend for a holiday. Due to the holiday (I am Jewish) I have certain restrictions as to what I may or may not do, such as opening the door (electricity) adjusting the air conditioner etc..The staff at the Genett..."i were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to fulfill any of the many requests posed by me and my 3 teenage friends with me. I would especially like to mention a concierge by the name of Zack who remembered me from the previous year!! (Even when at first glance I didn't.) The hotel itself is beautiful and like a step back in time. I was especially impressed with the fact that (to my knowledge) no two rooms are alike. I spent time in three different rooms (they switched us at one point) and they all were very well designed and furnished, with beautiful and comfortable furniture.
