  "This was my fifth trip to Clarion and I would not think of staying anywhere else. The house has been beautifully restored and tastefully decorated. Each room has its own bathroom with plenty of towels matched to each room by color. The bed was very comfortable. A nice sitting room upstairs has a..." TV, although we never used it. I have always been there in May and the weather is usually nice enough to sit outside in the late afternoon, early evening and enjoy a class of wine or other adult beverage. We are often joined bu our hosts, Bill and Judy for engaging conversation. Breakfast is outstanding and very filling. Baked French toast one morning and a cheese souffle the next. Both times breakfast included a fruit cup with fresh mint and a breakfast pastry. All served in an elegant dining room. The Clarion House is convenient to main street shopping and the Clarion University campus. A first rate experience. I am already looking forward to the next trip. " More >

  "Our hiking club stayed at The Comfort Inn in Clarion, PA this past weekend for a visit to Cooks Forest. Although the hotel is in a very busy area located close to I-80, it is set far back down a street off the main state route. I was pleasantly surprised that it was so quiet and yet so convenient ..."to a shopping mall right next door. I checked in and the first room I was given was on the first floor and before I unpacked I noticed footsteps above me so went back to front desk and requested a second floor room. It was located near the back of the building and was so quiet and convenient to the back stairs for loading and unloading your baggage. There is no elevator. The rooms are tastefully furnished, a little worn but very comfortable. Very clean. The breakfasts are generous - scrambled eggs, sausage links, make-your-own waffles along with the regular fare - toast, oatmeal, juice, cereal. Friday night we walked over to the mall - there is a K-Mart, a steak roadhouse and a movie ... " More >
