I sometimes look for flaws, but there are none here. The rooms are beautiful with a view of the river and beautiful furnishings. A deck is outside to further enhance viewing. Everything is first class; I had never slept on Italian sheets so even that was a treat. Each morning coffee is delivered with a Kindle which provides the news and that is just a start. The breakfasts in the dining room are lavish and perfect. Whoever does the baking is a genius! In the afternoon cookies and ice tea are set out and one can order up a sandwich for lunch.   "Can't speak for the newer accommodations as we stayed in one of the oldest cabins there and honestly we enjoyed the little hints of history and nostalgia about the place. Very comfortable, the staff keep everything clean and tidy, everything just worked and the young man delivering firewood kept us ..."cheerily supplied. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient if a bit overworked. The beach view and trails were wonderful, and we happened to have one absolutely perfect weather day which we ended with a long soak in the adults only hot tub watching the sun set over the ocean. They have two more hot tubs that are family friendly as well! We'll definitely stay here again. This was a short romantic getaway, but next time we'll bring the kids as this seems a perfect place for family leisure time. " More >

The location in the river is superb. The complimentary afternoon snacks and evening appetizers are very, very good. But forget all that. That is not what you will remember about the Tu Tu Tun Lodge. You will remember the truly exceptional service. Within a few minutes we were checked in and everyone knew on the staff our names. A drink at the bar was automatically charged to the room. Split the bill three ways - no problem. Special request - done. The dinner service was the best I can remember and I have been to quite a few five star restaurants.
