Some may say it needs modernisation but it is what I would expect for the price we paid. (although I wouldn't want to pay the normal listed price). Décor is also what one would expect from looking at the building. Our room was clean, comfortable and big enough for us. Bed was excellent with a good, deep mattress. The only thing that marred the experience was the white toilet cistern was broken or badly cracked and was held together with ugly black plastic tape. We needed short term accommodation for 2 adults, 2 twenty something children and a dog, that was reasonably cheap. I am writing this review whilst still at the hotel. The staff at reception are really nice and helpful and the rooms although basic are ok despite all the unfair negative reviews.   "This is my second stay here and by chance I had disabled room. I don't use a wheelchair nor am I registered disabled. However, my mother in law was in a wheelchair due to diabetes caused amputation hence I write from the viewpoint of a carer. The room is very nice and well equipped generally, i..."ncluding tea, coffee, ironing board etc. The bathroom was also well equipped with a wet room and plenty of handles and low sinks. The toilet roll holders could have been much better positioned and I felt the toilet itself may be too close to the wall. There were red emergency assistance pull cords by the bed and in the bathroom. Read on for the things I thought would potentially be awkward for a disabled person bear in mind I am a led bodied and was travelling alone. The room I had was on the 6th floor which would be a long way down stairs in an e-vac chair for a fire alarm fault or worse still a real fire.
