Hostess was helpful and attentive and my room whilst small (it was in the loft) was clean and the bed comfortable with everything I needed for my stay. The rooms are a bit small but what I particularly liked was the window which could be opened and you could ask for a jug of milk to be brought to the room which arrived very quickly. The biscuits were very nice too. The bedroom, as with most hotels...", had very little drawer storage space but there were shelves in the wardrobe. Limited channels on the TV. In the bathroom there was no shower hat and the soap had a rough feeling but smelled lovely. Dinner was great but for a 2 AA rosette restaurant I would have expected the crumbs to be cleared off the table before dessert and a fork to be provided for dessert as well as a spoon. Most of the desserts are fruity rather than stodgy. There is lovely fresh orange juice for breakfast. If you want an alternative to scrambled egg this has to be ordered. There was only a normal toaster not a conveyor belt type toaster so there was a wait for toast. It was disappointing that only sliced bread... " More >
