The kitchen was very well equipped and there is a big grocery store (sainsbury's) nearby - so we decided to cook and eat in for dinner both nights. Breakfast was awesome - fresh and delicious!. We didn't get too much time to spend looking around the grounds of the property but it looked very pretty from our suite.   "I booked this B&B fairly last minute, wanting an escape from London for the weekend. It was absolutely perfect. The setting is idyllic with leafy lanes all around and we were ideally situated for visiting Bodiam Castle and The 1066 Battle Site. In fact we wished we had longer to explore the area...." Mr and Mrs Tompsett were ideal hosts - friendly, welcoming, warm, highly knowledgeable about the area and able to recommend an excellent restaurant for the evening we were there. They have a range of happy farm animals on site which we enjoyed visiting upon arrival. The room was lovely and full of nice touches such as a biscuit barrel, bottle opener and shower gels in the shower. On a hot summer's evening (this one wasn't!), the terrace attached to the double room would be a real treat.
