We were then on our way to Niagara Falls so they also gave us lots of information on the best places to visit. The location of the hotel is on La..."ke Seneca and we did pick a water view room which was beautiful. We were able to eat dinner and breakfast outside. The hotel has a fire pit so we could sit out in the evening. There are not alt of sights to see in the area but it was relaxing and enough to keep busy. We visited the International Motor Racing Research Center which was very interesting. We climbed up the Watkins Glen Park and rode around the camp grounds. " More >

  "I hate to be this person and say "I'm particular when it come to hotels" but I am... I travel a lot for work and stay at very economic hotels when I travel. But when traveling for personal pleasure I prefer a bit more for the right price. With that said I didn't know what to expect when arriving in ..."Watkins Glen. I picked the hotel based on the TA reviews and also bc I knew I'd be drinking lots of wine and wanted a nice hotel bar to kick back in. Well the reviewers were on the money as was the hotel bar and decor.. Hotel was immaculate, staff was engaging and polite. Hands down worth the trip. The restaurant food was simple but good and consistent (ate there 4x), even the wait staff and dining mgr were conversational and friendly. Dining mgr also helped us plan the vineyard route we would want to take. Pretty neat to kick our feet up outside and have some cocktails.
