  "I stayed several times at River Run last year, and plan to stay there again this year. The house is charming, and I loved to sit in the living room in the evening and read in front of the large fireplace. Breakfast is always delicious. Each day, there is one hot plate (french toast, quiche, etc.)..." and every one had me coming back for seconds. If you have picky children like me that only want to eat things that are known commodities for them, there is cereal, muffins, hard boiled eggs, etc. That was really appreciated, because rather than starting the day with whining, my kids managed to eat a full breakfast and hit the ski slopes fueled up. #Winning If you're skiing, you will love the proximity to Belleayre. It's like 5 minutes up the road. The setting around the B&B is rustic. The Catskill mountains are beautiful. Michelle and Alan were both very welcoming, and were able give us a suggestions of places to go in the surrounding area.   "Stayed for two day while skiing nearby. The house is beautiful but, the rooms were pretty small. We arrived Friday evening around 7pm and there was no one around, just a key taped to the door. We would have like to get a recommendation for dinner nearby or an idea of what was available within the ho..."use. Wasn't till following day that I learned there was a steam room in the house. Might have been nice to have some coffee or tea available in the late afternoon but it was all put away and no staff around. A few other families were staying at the Inn with small children and the walls were thin. We heard the kids playing, crying and yelling all evening. Breakfast was pleasant but lacking the special touches that we have found at other good B&B's. All in all a nice weekend but don't think I would stay here again. " More >
